What is puberty and how do I deal with it?

Between the ages of 10 to 14, all by itself, your body decides it’s time to grow up. But there’s nothing to fear. Puberty is a physical change that happens as you become an adult, and really who wants to be a kid forever?

During puberty, your brain releases chemicals known as hormones. Hormones can change your body, like giving you more definition in your waistline and hips and increase the size of your breasts. They’ll also give you pubic hair and, of course, your period.

Puberty is pretty unpredictable and even boys have to go through this strange time. The good news is every person in the world goes through this at some point in their life - so you can feel confident that you’ll be able to deal with it as well.
